Driving while intoxicated, sometimes called the “DWI” driving while intoxicated, or “DUI” driving under the influence, has two meanings:
* Driving with an alcohol blood level above the maximum allowed by the state. The legal limit for adults is 0.08% to 0.10% depending on the state
* Driving when your physical abilities are impaired by drugs or alcohol. In some cases, there is no difference between legal and illegal drugs. If taking that drug affects the senses of seeing, hearing, speaking, walking and / or judging distances, you may be guilty of an offense of driving while intoxicated. (more…)
