Defense Before A Traffic Accident

1 • If you have suffered personal injury or bodily harm by a sinister turn to a health care center and sought emergency medical report, the same shall be a true reflection of what your state. Remember that you have a period of 6 months to make a complaint, however you must advise before. The content of it is important to you and which shall not contain any evidence that distorts reality.

2 • You must report the accident to your insurance company within 7 days.

3 • Find out who are the eyewitnesses of the incident, what they saw and what they have indirect knowledge of the incident.

4 • You must keep all documents and papers relating to the incident, hospital medical reports, budgets, reports, rehabilitation, repair bills, etc … are very important and you can be of great use.

5 • Request Attestation of accident in the Civil Guard or local police. Take a few pictures of the accident, the vehicles involved and your property damaged.

6 • If your insurance company or you propose a compensation contrary, always consult with a lawyer before accepting it. If you sign the form, or any other document can compromise the outcome and now you can not back out, but subsequently found that they were entitled to higher amounts.

7 • If you only have suffered damage to your vehicle or luggage and no physical injuries, you may file a civil lawsuit claiming the amount thereof.

8 • If your insurance covers the cost of legal assistance that is most common in most policies, free to choose an attorney you trust. Their fees must be assumed by the Insurer, to the limit in your policy contract.

9 • The insurance of the vehicle fault for the accident, is directly responsible and therefore must assume all the damages that have occurred in the incident, except in cases of force major or negligence of the injured.
